About the Event
Jews have for more than a century shown a special affinity for science. In the US, for example, more than a quarter of science Nobel laureates are Jewish. What is the source of this affinity? Professor Mallow will describe the relation between Jews and science, as well as the lives of some outstanding Jewish physicists.
Jeffry Mallow is Emeritus Professor of Physics, Loyola University. He serves on the Forward Association, which publishes The Forward and Der Forverts. He is Honorary Chair of the Chicago YIVO Society.
