About the Event

Dr. Yitskhok Niborski was born and educated in Argentina, where he graduated from the Buenos Aires Yiddish-Hebrew Teachers’ Seminary. He holds a doctorate in literature . He moved to Paris in 1979, where he has taught Yiddish and related subjects. He  is currently director of the Paris Yiddish Center-Medem Library. He is a prolific author, and has written a Yiddish-French/French-Yiddish dictionary and a dictionary of Hebrew-origin words in Yiddish.
