Violinist Steve Gibons invites Palestinian Oud player and composer  Ronnie Malley, and Flamenco and World Music guitarist, Carlo Basile, to  share music of Jews, Muslims, and Roma peoples from Andalusia, North  Africa, the Levantine, and Europe.

Born and raised in Chicago, violinist Steve Gibons is regular performer  on the Chicago jazz scene. He has traveled widely, absorbing music from a  host of different cultures– Blues and Jazz from his home town, East  European Roma (Gypsy) music, Klezmer, classical Arabic Music, Flamenco,  and, Gypsy Jazz from Western Europe.         Gibons commands an enviable reputation for his work in the  gypsy-jazz idiom, including for his contributions to Alfonso  Ponticelli’s Swing Gitan ensemble, which is in residence every Wednesday  evening at the Green Mill.           - Howard Reich, Chicago Tribune
